  • I had to have 4 arthroscopic knee surgeries on my right knee for tears in the meniscus. Then I completely blew out my knee 2 years ago and had to under go a series of 3 operations to do a full cartilage transplant...I had an osteotomy to break my leg and re-align the entire knee joint....then I had a meniscus transplant from a cadaver...finally an articular cartilage transplant (Carticel procedure). I then had one last surgery to clean things up and it was discovered then that I\'m rejecting the meniscus now....so I\'m back to bone-on-bone. Therefore, I have to have a partial knee replacement eventually, but for now I\'m on-hold as the dr. wants to give my knee a break.
